His senior career started out with Motherwell, for whom he made his senior debut aged only 17 in January 2015.
After a loan spell with Morton, he left Fir Park permanently in January 2019 to sign for Falkirk. A year later he was recruited by Queen's Park.
Last season, he played 26 games in all competitions as the Spiders won the League Two title, with Ross contributing two goals along the way.
Despite that, he was released by Queen's Park at the end of the season and manager Stevie Farrell didn't hesitate to sign him up.

This probably wasn't how Stevie Farrell envisaged his Dumbarton debut. Missing six key players through a mixture of injury and isolation, the new gaffer was able to name just two outfield substitutes in his matchday squad - with 17-year-old Callum Wilson and 19-year-old Sam Muir handed senior debuts in the starting line-up.

IF this game proved nothing else, it proved that there's only one statistic that matters in football. Not shots on target, not possession, not corners. Goals. City converted 80% of their shots on target into goals. We converted 20%. 'Uphill' and 'battle' springs to mind.
TAKE yourself back to 5pm on Saturday, September 18.
