Biography


Mati joined the youth system at Alloa Athletic in 2012 and made his under-20s debut for the club before his 13th birthday.

His footballing ability quickly caught the eye of Rangers and he joined the Ibrox club in 2013.
In 2013, he joined Rangers youth Academy.

Mati was called up to represent the Scotland under 16s, and earned a two-year scholarship at the club.

Next he went on loan to Lowland League club East Kilbride to gain first team experience.

In 2018, the combative all-action midfielder joined Dundee United on an 18-month contract, and during this time he captained the reserve side to victory in the Oban Cup.

He made his debut in a 2018–19 Scottish Challenge Cup tie with St Johnstone under-20s, making a substitute appearance after only two minutes.

He joined Tayport on loan in March 2019, and became a free agent at the end of the season.

He has dual nationality with Scottish and has represented Zimbabwe at under-23 level.

In March 2019 he was called up to represent Zimbabwe Under-23s in the African Cup of Nations competition, earning two caps
